Welcome to Monmouth Concert Orchestra, the friendliest amateur orchestra in south Wales. We started when a group of parents were looking for something to do while their children were taking part in Gwent Music ensembles. From humble beginnings we now have 30+ regular players.

Our conductor is David Davies and our leader is Jane Rodgers.

We rehearse in Monmouth on Friday evenings during term time and give two or three concerts a year. We play a wide selection of music from famous classical works to music from the shows.

If you want to join us, there’s no audition. Just come along to a rehearsal and play along with us. We’d love to see you. We draw players from Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, the Forest of Dean and Monmouthshire.  Members of the orchestra range in age from 18-80+ and in ability from Grade V to Grade VIII+.
